Clips from Carolina Pottery

Ages away from my last visit to Carolina Pottery in Cary – I decided to pop in after work on Friday just to see what they’ve done with the place.

As usual, lots of neat little pieces for sprucing up your casa. Thought I’d share some pics with you guys in case you’re in the market for an awesome entry way mirror or cute linen ottomans.

Said mirror:

Only $150 which I thought was pretty good for the size, although it is heavy it’s also kind of thin. Spotting things like this make me wish we had a formal entryway to decorate. Definitely on my wish list for our next home or apartment.

Cute linen ottomans. These might not be too dog or kid friendly without some major scotch guarding but I think they would look really tailored as a pair tucked under a lucite or glass coffee table.

I forgot to flip one over to check out the price.

But this bigger beauty was about $250 if I remember correctly.

Carolina Pottery is always good for a collection of fun and quirky lamps. Both our ginger jar lamp and curvy red kitchen lamp came from CP.  Right now they have about six of these blue-green seed glass lamps in stock which are remarkably similar to the clear set I sold over a year ago. I got major questions about where they came from and where to find more – so go forth and buy similar ones!

They were a bit bank at $100 each.

I walked around with one of these bronzey feather photo frames the entire time I was there – only to put it back down before walking out. We’re in de-clutter mode, but at $8 you can’t go wrong if feathers are your thing right now – and they are mine.

These white ceramic trophies are $25 – 30 each and would be really cute in a little boys’ room. Just a thought. Random coming from childless, me. But an idea nonetheless.

It took EVERY thing I have not to leave the store with two of these purple hotties.

I’m a sucker for bright colors and jute, campy looking trim. Plus these have a down like insert which is a must for my pillow purchases now.  Only $16! You cannot even buy a down insert on its own for $16 now.

But, if you remember, there is a ban on the color purple in my house right now, put in place by he who shall not be named. Therefore they must stay here until some luckier person gets to take them home.

At $2.99 each these shell napkin rings were really funky. Really. We don’t really do napkin rings around these parts, but if we did, we’d do these.

Finally, the one thing I did walk out with?

One of these wee little glass display domes.

$12.99 each and I knew just what I needed one for – although they’d really be adorable for displaying just about any teeny curious thing.

Now we won’t knock our honeymoon souvenirs over, which keeps them un-broken, off the floor and therefore Lucy-proof. Well worth a thirteen dollar splurge.

These are the types of little decor additions that I love – something that provides a function, is attractive and justs adds to a collected home over time.  Plus I can’t be accused of breaking the clutter rules because these will defintely head with us up north next year.

Do you guys love Carolina Pottery? If you’re not local do you have a similar warehouse super decor store in your area? Do tell.

Keep the conversation going on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest!
