Scouting: Vintage Glove Molds

Admittedly I used to be skeptical of the ceramic hand in home decor. I’ve become a full-fledged believer as long as said hands are vintage and legit glove molds. I love the idea of taking something old and industrial and giving it new life in a quirky way.

Can you spot the little green guy in this post from Little Green Notebook?

Or the shiny guy in this room by Emily Henderson? Can you see it past that wallpaper?

Maybe a whole collection on the mantel?

The good news is that as much as I like to dig around North Carolina for steals on these kinds of things, there is quite the supply readily available on both eBay and Etsy.

I’m waiting to hear back from a local seller of one right now. Hoping I can pick it up from her sans shipping costs. Yes that’s how cheap I can be.

What’s your verdict on the glove mold? Love it? Hate it? Want to DIY it? Check out this link I found along the way it could work, or it could just get really, really messy.
