World Market Woah

It’s been quite awhile since we’ve ventured into the World Market – and I must say that I was quite impressed with my trip there today. Aside from the murder that occured in the parking lot about 10 minutes before we arrived! Yikes!

But aside from the murder and all… there were so many bright prints and fun patterns going on inside. They’ve really stepped up their game.

Here are some highlights.

This wall art was a little Armas-esque and was $79 originally, on sale for half off. It could be a good option for bright art on a budget.

On my way out of the art and mirror section I stumbled on a little rack of these cute mini chalk boards. Each one has a rope attached so you could hang them on a wine bottle, on a basket, as a placecard or as any other bit while playing hostess. Two only cost $3.49. Admittedly this is the kind of little thing that we’re trying to de-clutter ourselves of right now, but if you entertain a lot or have an event coming up to use them for, they’re pretty cute and come at a great price.

The bedding section is coming along nicely as well too. In fact, I never paid much attention to World Market bedding in the past but I would venture to say that it rivals anthro right now. Maybe not in quality – I’m not sure I’ve never owned bedding from either – but definitely in fun, bright, layerable patterns.

Look at this duvet set.  Had these been sheets they might have been making their way into our guest bedroom right now.

The curtain selection is noticably good-looking as well. I’m considering going back for one of these curtain panels to wack up and sew into pillows. If there wasn’t so much white in the background they might have even become our new wingback chairs. Alas, I think that bum dirt might occur over time so I try to avoid so much white for chairs unless it’s washable.

Isn’t this tent lovely too? Who wouldn’t want this in their backyard for their March 23rd birthday party?

Yes.

What about a horn handled serving set? Horn is my new jam.  It was $19.99 for the set.

And as a hint this set would look great with a few of our new shop items to be posted on Monday!

Did you know they sell caftan style shirts now too?

Moving right along to the two small things that I actually purchased, these earrings at only $4.99 a pair. Teeny silver skulls for which Chad said, “You’re so tough, honey.”

And a knob. Yep. One knob.

Which I added here, because I need one more blue and white ceramic thing in my house.

It’s the little things.

Do you guys frequent World Market? What’s your favorite thing to find there? Watch your back in the parking lot, people are effing nuts.

Really enjoyed your blog, Amy!!! Tim and I just remodeled our 1973 home and brought her into the 21 st C. Still need window treatments but we are getting there. I just put down World Market as a raod trip for next week. Home Goods is one of my favs. and estate sales but I had forgotten all about WM. Thanks for the tips. Will look forward to reading more. Love to you and Dr. Chad – let him know please that I hit the 5 yr. mark this Dec. with the head and neck cancer…and that Dr. Shellenberger left Orlando and is at the MDA in Gilbert (Phoneix), AZ. Very sad to lose him. Very grateful he was there when I needed him most. Hope you two get happier and stronger in your marriage every single day. Best of luck with your new booth. Looks great!!!! xo tracey
